We finally tried this steakhouse due to the good reviews. It is located in Circus Circus that is surprising given a premium steakhouse within a ghetto location. The bone-in prime rib and bone-in rib eye were delicious and high quality. The filet was tender but lacked flavor. Garlic mash potato was fantastic. The mac-n-cheese was also flavorless. They also had great service. It would be good to try at least once but would not return given its location.

There are more steakhouses in Vegas than there are neon signs - how do you choose one? We asked around and the locals all talk about THE Steakhouse. Sure you could go to Morton's or Delmonico or any of another 100 places, but this is where the locals go. So we decided to give it a try. One thing we were warned about, you have to make it through Circus Circus to get to it, as it's inside the casino. They weren't kidding. Circus Circus was nice back in the 70's and I don't think it's had a coat of paint since then. Not cool. But once you make it through that gauntlet, you walk into a completely different world that is THE Steakhouse! We were greeted right away and walked past the dry aging room and the mesquite-fired grill to a table that overlooked the grill area, very cool! Our server Reyu (who's been there for 35 of their 40 years) was attentive and made great suggestions. I started with the Steakhouse Wedge salad (they call it the Waldo). It's an iceberg wedge with a balsamic dressing, crisp bacon, bleu cheese crumbles and apple pieces (and tomato if you like that, I don't). It was, hands down, the best salad I've ever eaten. Period. End of line. I could come back and get that for lunch and be a very, very happy man. Then they brought out the steaks. We both got the ribeye, mine was bone-in, my wife got hers without the bone. They were huge! So delicious too. I had a peppercorn sauce on the side to dip it in and it was fantastic! I got the garlic mashed potatoes on the side and they were amazing! Maybe add a side of that to my lunch salad! Our server and assistant server checked on us regularly and were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. So next time you're in Vegas, brave Circus Circus to come to this joint. You won't regret it.

We have never been disappointed eating here. The food & service was exceptional. We split the wedge salad & it was plenty. The tenderloin (medium rare) was melt in your mouth, the asparagus was buttery & the baked potato too big to finish (includes butter, sour cream, chives & crispy bacon!). Our server Felix was attentive, friendly & gave good suggestions as well as Sammy assisting our table.

We had an amazing experience at THE Steak House! Our server, David, was very friendly and attentive. He shared stories about the history of THE Steak House and the longevity of the staff. The background of "old Vegas" made the visit even better. The food was excellent! Our table ordered a couple Rib Eyes and a Filet. All were cooked perfectly and delicious . The garlic mashed potato's and the sautéed mushrooms were outstanding. We also had a shrimp cocktail and an oyster appetizer, again, delicious!!! The only down side is the location. It is located inside the Circus Circus which is an older very much in need of updating and cleaning hotel. THE Steak House deserves a better home but much of the magic of the experience is the old school feel. So as long as you don't mind going through the hotel to get the restaurant I highly recommend THE Steak House!

I can see why this place has 5 stars. Everything both it was excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection (filet) and the asparagus that came with it... superb and flavorful. I normally don't get dessert but had to try their cheesecake. Another flavorful and delicious part of the meal.

This was a lovely nostalgic dining experience at a steakhouse that exudes old world Vegas vibes. It's easy and highly recommended to make a reservation through their website. We were seating quickly upon arriving, and they noted our request for a booth and provided a large and spacious one. The interior is very old Vegas with dim lighting and lots of dark leather. The server was very gracious, friendly, and attentive. I had the Cosmopolitan cocktail which was really delicious and quite strong. Complimentary bread was provided with the meal, and it was very good, warm, and fresh. I particularly loved the pretzel bread! The jumbo shrimp cocktail was excellent, and they were so kind to offer to split it (for no extra charge) and present two shrimp to each person with all the accoutrements. We also had a split Caesar salad. This was perhaps the low point of the meal. Decent but just overall "OK" with very little flavor to the dressing. I had the petit filet mignon entree. Unlike some other strip steakhouses, here the steaks include a potato option and a house vegetable. I had the baked potato which includes all the various toppings on the side. The steak was perfectly prepared and very tasty. I loved the potato which was perfectly cooked and fluffy all the way through with no tough or undercooked portions. For dessert I had the chocolate cake. Decent - not bad - but nothing amazing. It would've been nice to have some tableside "showstopper" options like maybe a tableside bananas foster or flambeed cherries jubilee. Overall, though, this was a great dining experience with plenty of old world Vegas charm!

The food was good but a little overrated. My Rib Eye was on the fatty side but cooked well, the filet was under seasoned. Still a good experience with a nice old school charm. I like the old school vibe of the restaurant. The Alaska King Crab legs were a treat. The food was decent , not the best by any means. I asked our waiter ( Tito I think was the name) to take a photo of myself and husband I was caught off guard that he refused since it was our anniversary. We still left a hefty tip but this is a one and done for us but worth a try.
